Not only can Old Quarry provide a number of interesting and stunning outdoor sites for your ceremony, we are able to offer you and your guests a variety of exciting and memorable activities to participate in before, during or after your wedding day:
- Eco-cruises around the Deer Isle-Stonington archipelago to view marine life and local lighthouses (up to 19 passengers).
- Sailboat rentals with or without a Captain.
- Kayak rentals for a half or whole day of paddling amongst the 60 islands outside our door with or without a guide.
- Charter our 38' vessel Nigh Duck to take you and your guests to a secluded island for your nuptials and an authentic Maine lobster bake.
- Say your vows aboard the Nigh Duck out on the Bay at sunset. Just you, your witnesses, our Notary Public officiant and the Captain.
- Tie the knot on our beautiful private beach and hold a reception on our ocean front decks or pond-side function room.
- Say "I do" in our glorious gardens by the pristine pond, with the sound of a waterfall for background music.
- For the very adventurous couple, paddle out in kayaks and get married surrounded by the sea!
- Licensed Notary Public and experienced wedding officiant on staff.
We can make all of these possibilities and more possible! We will be creative and flexible to meet your style and your budget. In keeping with our philosophy, we implement eco-friendly practices with every event we host.
Whether or not you choose to hold your ceremony here, our facility is perfect for your rehearsal dinner and/or reception! Our newly constructed function room with wonderful water views is just right for small (50 people max) rehearsal dinners and receptions. Space is also available for a tent rental if you are looking to hold a larger event. Our wedding facilities also include a private changing room with full bathroom, for the bride and her attendants to use before and during the event. Additionally, we have an ocean front campground and lodging on site for overnight accommodations. There are also many local B&Bs and motels as well.
